It's a lot like the Golden Corral. Some things are worth taking a second look because it might taste good, while others are worth the second look because it's just plain fascinating.

Peace and simplicity is what I'm looking for, but I'm 29 and immersed in church life. I guess it's understandable.
May 29th will be my last Sunday filling in as consultant/associate pastor. We might take June 5th off or we'll start church shopping. I have a couple of churches in mind. What am I looking for? Authentic and Passionate worship, nice people with shared experiences and longings, a place to give and take, comfortable seats, good coffee, preaching that speaks to/challenges me. Did I say good coffee?
above all the bells and whistles of the big "C" church, I think people are longing to be known by someone, to have significance,...in the midst of this fast paced anonymous culture...people in their hearts, are longing for real relationships. Trouble is though...most people don't know it yet, they are still trying to fill that need by living out the "american dream."
I think we are beginning to see a shift away from the things this culture tells us people want and toward what we know deep in our own hearts we were created for...relationships...
