A Picture of a Miracle

A picture of our baby!

A Good Movie?

We rented Million Dollar Baby last night. Most of it was really good, but the last 1/3 smelled of tube sox after a two-a-day practice in August.

Meeting the Neighbors

We met some of our neighbors tonight. So far it's Tom and Lisa on the North side, Mike and Mary Beth on the South side and Cheryl and Matt on the other side of them. MaryAnn and Cheryl shared quite a bit concerning some of the diffficulty they've had in their lives. It was good.

Cheryl informed us that our house was trashed by the previous owner (we suspected). She said the cat would spray everywhere in the house. This explains the Beast in the basement that we've been trying to Kill. Looks like I'll be doing some more work down there.

Back

We made it back from vacation. It wasn't as relaxing as I had hoped it would be, but it was great to hang out with and catch up with family and friends. Coming home to the comforts of our own bed, food and thermostat was a real delight. Samson was glad to see us. He kept licking us and then rubbing himself all over our backseat.

I think we're making progress on the beast in the basement. We're trying out a new solution we found at the pet store. I put on a fourth coat this morning. I'm a little concerned about the fifth nipple I started growing after using all these different chemicals, but it will all be worth it if I can one day say, "I licked the beast." That kind of sounds weird... Well it will be worth it--even if I have to spend my retirement in a freakshow circus dancing with a toothless bear.

I started the bible study "Believing God" this past week. This will be my second time through it. Don't tell anyone cause it's for women. I found myself disappointed and inspired all at the same time. I was disappointed because I realized how little I live by faith, but I was inspired because God loves me enough to keep challenging me to a life of more. Not more stuff, but more of Him and His ways which are perfect.
